I know how important this matter is to you, so let’s get right to the cold, hard reality about losing weight, and we begin with this:
Diets don’t work.
I don’t care if the plan or prescription is based on cantaloupes or extraterrestrial technology or alleged divine insight, diets don’t work. Pick your favorite, it doesn’t matter the day you go off your diet, statistics prove, is the day you’ll start gaining weight, and you’ll most likely gain more than what you were carrying around in the first place. Diets don’t work, because diets are for children. How do we handle our kids? We tell them what to do and what not to do. We monitor, we cajole, we discipline all for a good reason, because children are, after all, children, without the intellect or experience to make the right, critical decisions. Eventually, as they grow, we give them more and more free reign as they gain maturity and we gain confidence in their judgment.
Diets treat us like children who never grow up. They restrict, they deny, they order us from one meal to the next. And it works, at least for a while, until it doesn’t work and, eventually, inevitably, then all hell breaks loose, and we’re worse off than when we started.
That’s about to change.
Fill Your Cup is for adults only. It’s for adults who know what they want, who know where they are and where they want to go. Given this broader mandate than just squeezing into those jeans (a worthwhile endeavor in itself), it is not a diet, but a lifestyle. Now that’s a big word, lifestyle, but that’s what we’re talking about. Fill Your Cup gives you the tools to regain control of your eating, your weight, and your health. Once you take that first step and head down that road, who knows where it will ultimately lead. What other discoveries will you make about yourself?
